Hi all, can I ask for some advice for switching from femoston to patches please?
I was on femoston 1/10 and wanted to switch to patches to reduce stroke risk etc. I’m in my early 50s. I’ve been switched to FemSeven Conti 50/7. I was told it was the same, different delivery…?
I was thinking I could you use the patches for a fortnight and then use oestrogen gel the other fortnight, so not continuous tho still less oestrogen whilst on the patch from what I can tell?
Any suggestions or advice welcome, thanks in advance.

Can't you just use femseven sequi if you're not ready for a conti regime yet?

Both your risk of stroke, and the likelihood of a patch remaining in place and adequately stuck down for 7 days, are absolutely minuscule.

If you want to do patches, want a cyclical regime and are happy with 50mcg you would be better with either evorel sequi or estradiol patches with separate micronised progesterone.

You can get femseven oestrogen only patches so you could make your own sequi regime with them. It might be better than using gel as you'll get a consistent dose, you may absorb gel differently to the patch.
