Evorel 25 patch and Utrogestan 100 pesari
« on: April 10, 2025, 02:22:19 PM »

Hello, wondering if anyone has experienced the same as me and how I’m deciding to manage it….. I’ve just started Evorel 25 patch and Utrogestan 100 tablet although I’m using the Utrogestan as a pesari due to being quite sick when taking it orally. The Utrogestan takes all my energy and causes me to wheeze . I’ve been taking this mix for 3 days. The NHS gynaecologist is a lovely lady although not very helpful, she says she’s never heard of these symptoms before with Utrogestan vaginally. Her advice is that if I feel unwell then come off of it. At the moment I’m reluctant to do that as I’m wondering if these symptoms will pass because in every other way I feel great - sleeping, calm, no heat rushes. So I’ve decided to try using the Utrogestan every other day for a couple of weeks to see if that helps my body get used to it then go back to every day. Interested to hear your thoughts and comments and whether that’s safe. The gynaecologist said not to do this (I have no other health issues) yet I hear of other women who have done this and it’s helped. I’m 57 and postmenopausal , I went thorough the Menopause at 43 and been exploring the herbal route since then.

These symptoms are not normal and should prompt a switch to an alternative progestogen.

Wheezing suggests an allergic reaction - are you allergic to nuts?

The micronised progesterone capsules contain an ingredient derived from peanut oil.
