Anxiety(feeling of floor going)
« on: January 20, 2025, 04:41:10 PM »

Hi
I've had a rough 3 months. End of October last year I went on to sertraline. Lasted 6 weeks. Constant nausea and panic and fear and depression. I went up un dose then down for 2 weeks then off of it on to mirtazapine 15mg. Been on this for 6 weeks. It took away the nausea right away and has helped a bit. I went back to work 2 weeks ago. I work part time in a shop. A bit overwhelming thinking about going back but did it and all seemed ok. However I'm not completely relaxed still and always suffered insomnia.
Last Thursday I felt hot in the shop with increased heartrate for a few hours then all of sudden the floor sort of disappeared and the walls felt like they came in. Then I had a prolonged panic. I was in the shop on my own. I managed to get to my phone and rang my boss. She sent someone up and I went home. This has scared me and I'm getting the feeling going in to places. I think I went back too soon and especially as I've more responsibility the next 2 weeks. Just thinking of work sends me into a panic. Anyone else like this?

Sounds like it may have been a hot flush = anxiety feelings.

MayB because U were alone added to the 'oh' sensations = panic.  How often R U likely to be alone in the job?

I'm on my own quite often. A lot of shifts 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon. My fear of that happening again has made me panicky again. I just can't face work. I'm reading a lot of self help books about your nerves and understanding the behaviour.

The flight or fight response: yep, know all about it but knowing doesn't stop panic flooring me  >:(.  When I'm OK I'm OK but anxiety can hit without warning.   :'(

Do U feel vulnerable over all in your work place?

I never did until that happened to me on Thursday. I couldn't control anything. Now I can't face work

Give yourself some rest time.  Check your diet overall.   Low blood sugar/energy dips can cause anxiety surges, I was advised to eat every 3 hours, 24.7.  Helped a lot!
