Clearing out ready for the season of goodwill

CLKD:
In the US charity shops are called 'good will' shops or 'thrift shops'.

It has been suggested by Charity organisations in the UK that people clear out toys and electrical items in good time for charity shops, to enable those on limited budgets to buy ready for Cmas. 

I have several C.mas baubles that we won't be using in future ......... need a box and off they will go!

CLKD:
However: in the last 3 weeks locally charity shops aren't taking in items  :-\
