Thanks Ana21 and CLKD.

Still feeling mighty uncomfortable and angry.

I’ve bought Dr Wolffs V san cream from Amazon and hope that may help ( my Ovesse can’t be collected until Tuesday).

The surgery pharmacist is also phoning Tuesday and I’m hoping I can have vafigem instead of imvaggis AND Ovestin or a 0.1 cream.

What a bloody hideous nightmare!  >:(

I really hope you get some relief SOON.  There's nothing worse than that horrible sore/uncomfortable feeling, it just takes your life over.  It seems a lot of ladies on here use vagifem and ovestin so hope you can get that.  It's hard work fighting your corner when you feel so depleted to start with.  All the phoning/talking/waiting is the pits.

Have just purchased a stronger cream from Boots. Fingers crossed it does something positive.  What a day! 🙈

Are you able to buy vaginal estrogen cream without a prescription from Boots or did you need a prescription to get it?

I bought it from Boots online. I was then asked to call them, as I had vagifem from Boots 3 weeks ago. According to them, you can’t use both products in case you “ overdose” on oestrogen!

I also had to lie about all my cancers, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to have anything at all!

Now, I want my Gp to just prescribe what I need and not what they THINK I need! Bloody gatekeepers!!

Do you know if Boots will contact your GP to let them know what you've had? I'd quite like to try this route without going through my GP.

No idea Penguin.
They can if they want. Frankly, I don’t care if they do. I don’t think I had to give GP details. It was more Boots having my purchase details saved I think.

Boots are well known for this kind of interfering behaviour. I remember years ago buying Canesten from them only to be given the third degree in front of other customers at the counter.
I’ve used Superdrug Online Doctor to buy Ovestin in the past, now called Estriol, and there are other online pharmacies selling HRT products, I would never buy from Boots online because of my experience with them.

Is Ovesse only supplied by Boots, shame if it is because its a good price as far as I can remember!

Ah okay that's good to know thanks. I just found one on Boots online called Ovesse - hopefully that is the right one. I am now 50 so the only bit I'll be untruthful about is that I am still in peri rather than in meno for a year. But I was given systemic hrt and stopped that in April and this is meant to be a much lower amount isn't it.

The tube of Ovesse is £19.99 but I have no idea how long it will last if doing loading dose then twice a week.

You are bang on Ayesha.. the price at Boots is right! I bought a  15g tube of Ovesse for £19.95. Unfortunately, it looks to be an  exclusive to Boots only product?

I will be using every day, until the damm condition is under control, so it won’t last long.

Penguin, I don’t know how bad your VA is, mine is now quite severe.

I just feel localised oestrogen cream, should be on the shelf, with the anadin and cough medicine, no questions asked.

Yeah I agree. I'm going to give it a try. I don't think mine is too bad inside (although I might get told otherwise when I go for my smear test in a couple of weeks), but the outside is on/off irritated most of the time now. I will do the loading dose and see how I go. I don't want to go near anything systemic though.
