I've never posted on this thread before but I have to tell you that a really weird thing keeps happening to me when I'm trying to work out how to use the camera on my phone and peering down at the settings. This odd looking woman with wild hair has a habit of staring back at me when the camera is supposed to be pointing the other way  – she is frowning and has bags under her eyes and glasses on the end of her nose as she struggles to read the right buttons – not at all like me    . What's more she keeps putting pictures of herself looking like this in my gallery – and I've no idea how they got there.  I'm thinking she puts the phone into selfie mode when I'm not looking and presses the button? Have to delete them very quickly before anyone else sees them!

Strange you should say this Hurdity as the exact same thing has happened to me as well. An old woman with hair all awry peering out of the phone, mouth slightly open and brow furrowed in concentration. Not sure how she got in there but I wish she'd stop meddling with my phone!

  No need to share - my strange woman is someone else completely  and very different from yours 

I was trying to find the author of the piece quoted at the beginning but drew a blank - must be someone American who wrote it because of the dollars. I found it in some writing from 1999 so looks like it's been going since at least then.

Must be an awful lot of STRANGE WOMEN around by now!!!

Sneaked in here and stole my front door key and left it in the front door !! Just as well a kindly neighbour was passing and came to tell me.
I will have to be on high alert in case she returns

I even have my son on the case now as he reckons shes moving his stuff from where he left them  . I've told him all about her and how she is a pest as I didn't want him to think I would do such a thing

Good grief, now she has travelled way up North.  This afternoon, I was watching a film on my iPad when the screen went a bit dark, and some ancient old bag with a red nose and pouchy cheeks suddenly appeared out of nowhere, staring right at me!  I sat back with a start - she wasn't in the film I thought - so I smiled at her to make her go away and she showed her teeth and growled in return.  I winked at her and she winked back with the other eye.

She left eventually, but before she went she left my purse in the fridge.
