« on: January 23, 2010, 08:19:03 PM »

Sat night again. Had a nice meal and a glass of wine and looking forward to getting my feet up and watching the TV. Its all rubbish >:(. Im not into reality TV and Big Brother bores me rigid. Its cheap TV.

Whats your favourite from years gone by.

It is all rubbish isn't it? Watched a few minutes of an old kids film Small Soldiers that reminded us of when our son was little. Then tried to find a DVD to watch that we hadn't seen for ages but with no luck. Now watching another kids film with Vin Deiesel in - don't even know what its called. Football will be on soon though - hubby looks forward to that.

I love Fools and Horses - I always groan when it comes on but end up laughing my head off. The old ones are the best.

There's ice skating on this afternoon but I already seen it on Fri evening  >:(

There is a prequel to Fools and Horses I think this evening?

Country File
Antiques Roadshow/Flog It! for me
any house buying programmes

I bought some videos yesterday, we watched Ice Age III last evening - funny and well made

Talking of TV programmes, wasn't the Sky 'Real Lives' menopause programme supposed to be broadcast in early-mid January?  I was told it was to be promoted during the Christmas break and aired 1-2 weeks later but I've heard nothing further (but I admit I seldom watch TV and don't have Sky!).

There's some good old ones that they don't seem to repeat. Remember "Butterflies"? I used to like that.

Oh yes "butterflies" - great and of it's time  :)

I saw the rest of the skating, it was very good but the programme was quite disjoined  ::)

Saturday night telly is rubbish but Sunday is OK - I LOVE Lark Rise to Candleford. Can't get enough of it.
I like Hustle which is on tonight, and also Silent Witness on Thurs/Fri but there's not much else I like at the mo.
There's too many channels, esp BBC ones that are sharing the licence fee so there doesn't seem to be as much good stuff about. We've sacrificed quality for quantity methinks. How long is it since we had a decent sitcom?

PS Butterflies is on GOLD from time to time.

I miss "Gold", live in France now and only get the Free View channels. I enjoy the Hustle and Silent Witness too.

Shameless starts tonight & Desperate Housewives tomorrow, I love them both - just wish the Sopranos was coming back on but they say they are not doing another series.  :'(

Shameless is good - took me a while to get into it but can't stand Desperate Housewives anymore. I liked the first series though. I very rarely watch tv - too restless - but I am going to settle down to watch Shameless tonight... unless I get invited out of course  ;D

We must have the crappiest TV in the ENTIRE WORLD AND UINIVERSE
90% is shite USA shows and sorry to the USA ladies but except for a few they are crap
They all live in glam houses knowones ever poor or fat or ugly or disabled
They all have fab jobs even the teen drams are glossy
I love BUFFY I loved ER LOst till it LOST its way I liked Friends and a few others but the Police shows arent my cup of tea
Ozzies TV has about 6 dramas and that includes Neighbours and home and away and the News current affairs and game shoes
No variety to speak of though we did have Ozz idol Ozz come dancing thats about it
We got FOX/SKY we watch that all the time UK Tv is 10.000% better than Ozz come over here for a week youd be bored sh.....
