We’ve got the Casper mattress and it’s best mattress we’ve ever had!

The mattress has been a disappointment. I found it too firm so Emma sent me a soft topper. I was on fire and not in a good way, it was unbearably hot. I took the topper back off but I'm still lying here at 4 in the morning boiling and unable to sleep. So maybe I would have the same problem with any mattress. I'm still walking around in the daytime in a tee shirt most of the time even in the garden so I guess the heat is my problem not Emma's.

Thats a big disappointment, I like my Emma mattress and find it cooler than my previous memory foam mattress.  Buying a new mattress is a minefield, what one person finds comfortable another finds too hard or soft but you dont get a chance to properly try before you buy, unless you go for a mattress in a box.  I hope you find the perfect mattress soon  :)

Our Emma mattress has got softer with time. But disappointing really, I preferred it when it was new.

Is anybody aware of a mattress supplier that removes the old one and carries the new one upstairs please? My days of heaving mattresses around are definitely over!

Or as my bed is very low I’m considering putting a thick topper / thin mattress on top of mine just to soften it up. Anyone know of a thick topper that stays thick please?

Thanks.

I tried the Emma mattress but wasn't sold. In November, after research, I bought the Simba hybrid mattress. It's not cheap, but it is literally the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on, I cannot recommend it highly enough. It has the cooling system too, but the fact that it is a combination of memory foam and springs makes a huge difference. (Not sponsored by them btw :)).

We bought the top of the range, in the Simba mattress.....I'm sorry to say I did not take to it at all.........I did try........even after the dreadful smell from the mattress subsided.....
I just did not find it at all helpful or beneficial in giving me a good nights sleep....
My husband could take it or leave it.......but since I was not happy, it's going back......
They offer a a 200 day returns policy.....

I do hope you continue to enjoy your mattress Brindle..... :)

Update

The mattress is being returned. I am still getting too hot on it and it has gone really soft where we sleep so we have a mountain between us. Emma advise rotating the mattress once a month and that it does soften over time. I think 3 months is a bit soon for that to happen though.

Try an Inofia mattress,I LOVE mine, much better than the Emma we had,it's firmer but not firm as in,it's uncomfortable on your hips etc

Thanks I'll have a look. Have you noticed it helps keep you cool? I was considering the Simba.
