Dierdre, sorry to hear you have COVID. Hope it continues to be a mild version & that you'll get to enjoy something of Christmas.
Update for anyone worried about having their booster - had mine Weds (Pfizer) after 2 x AZ. Long queue outside & inside the freezing hall despite booking (5 weeks in advance) & was there for an hour altogether, mostly just waiting to be jabbed, free to go straight afterwards. Felt sorry for the staff having to sit/stand around in that big, cold hall for hours - the lovely woman who did my jab was working a 10 hr shift. Partner had his booster same time. Both of us had a sorer arm this time, every move of muscle for 48 hrs, but now on day 3 that's almost gone, whereas with my 1st AZ jab the soreness lasted nearly a week. I was feverish overnight 1st night (just as with AZ no 1) & unable to sleep after waking way too hot at 3am - but that's not unusual for me, courtesy of menopause! Slightly dizzy next day, with mild headache both days following booster, no headache or other symptoms as yet today. Partner was fine on first night after booster but feverish on 2nd night & said he felt like he had a cold. He sweated overnight so I had to change bedding! He's fine today & says back to normal. Reaction to booster for me was far better than that I had after 1st AZ jab & wouldn't hesitate to have any of them again.
