Finding a private consultant
« on: November 12, 2021, 01:35:51 PM »

Hi, I'm based in South Wales. Recently prescribed HRT by my gynae consultant when I said I was just feeling rubbish. No bloods done, no detailed history. I think I'd rather go private to a Menopause and HRT specialist.

I've seen the BMS registrants on their site, but was just wondering if anyone on here can recommend anyone in particular, or what good practice should look like?
Thank you :)

Gynaecologists often don't know much more than GPs seem to!

:welcomemm:  we shouldn't have to pay but sometimes it is quicker as well as more likely 4 us to get proper advice.

Blood tests for hormone levels are reliably unreliable.  Some find that keeping a mood/food/symnptom diary of use.
