Never ending period!
« on: June 22, 2021, 08:21:25 AM »

Hi all

I’m 52 and on oestrogel and utrogestan tablets 12 days.
I’ve moved from  2 pumps a day to 3
I’m now on my 14 th day of bleeding.
I can’t decide if it’s just my body cracking up for menopause or if it’s the move the 3 pumps.
Of course there’s always the possibility it’s related to the Covid vaccine, I’ve read about a few women who’s periods altered after vaccines ( on Mumsnet)

Has anyone any experience or thoughts to share please?
Thanks

Morning.

The reaction to the vaccination would have been within a few days and didn't last long.

It mayB that the extra pumps are stimulating your hormones.  Do U keep a mood/food/symptom diary to chart progress?  If bleeding is very heavy the GP can prescribe medication to slow it down.

On Mumsnet there’s an interesting post about more long term changes following the vaccines.
I am in now way an anti- vaxxer.

My periods only last about 4 days so this is a shocker!
I have Tranexamic acid for heavy periods.

This one has been light, more than spotting though ( TMI 2 pads a day)
The floodgates opened this morning so I’m hoping this is a the beginning of the end.

I just wondered if it was the extra pump of gel or just things going weird as I’m older.

I've had abnormal bleeding problems since 2018 and notified my GP and hospital.
I had hysteroscopy, scans and oestrogen reductions, I was informed early June I had fibroids.
