Would this be ok?
« on: June 20, 2021, 04:29:47 PM »

My GP knows I have fibroids now after the scan on June 5th, she let me change from 50mcg gel to the patches for convenience.

I was spotting before I changed to patches last Sunday, the day when my chemist texted to say they were available for collection.

Since using the patches the bleeding has increased a lot, not flooding but clots and red flow and my mood is lower.

I am due to change my patch today, can't bear the thought of lower mood as it is interfering with my life and I want the bleeds to calm back down.

Would it be ok to put either half a patch on, or 1 pump of my gel today?

I decided to use half a patch, can't face another day of bleeding and toxic anxious awakenings.

Hi Dandelion

How are you feeling now? Xxxxx

Thanks for asking, the night sweats are a little worse, which I find really odd, as night sweats are a symptom of oestrogen deficiency, yet I have fibroids which are fed by oestrogen.
I am well confused.
I am also confused by the fact that I have had busy dreams and disturbed sleep, I thought oestrogen opposed progesterone I take which is the relaxing hormone.
Both things seem contradictory. Bleeding lessened a lot though.

Sorry for the delay in responding Dandelion, we've had friends over and things have been a bit disrupted.

If the patches are Evorel Conti they contain Norethisterone which can cause mood swings. It took me over 3 months to get used to the stuff.

The other thing with Evorel Conti is that it can cause irregular bleeding for up to six months.

On the box it says "each oestrogen patch contains oestradiol"
It doesn't mention norethisterone.
What is the name of the oestrogen only patch by evorel?
Where does it say norethisterone?

It looks like it's the oestrogen only patch you've got, not Evorel Conti. It doesn't mention norethisterone cos it's not conti!

Ah - Just seen you're on oral utro so you wouldn't need a conti patch - sorry.

I thought as much.
Early on in my meno journey a dotty GP prescribed me Conti in peri hahahahaha
She was lovely but my present GP isn't as dotty and also nice, I just wrote to her as my autism makes video and phone appointments hard. COVID has made my surgery do these for the vast majority. I need my breasts checking, not been checked in months.
I don't know how they feel normally, naughty me only started checking them in meno.
