VitE supplement and smoking
« on: April 09, 2021, 05:25:11 PM »

Apparently: DH read a report this week : that those people who are regular smokers who also took VitE regularly, died sooner than expected.  Of course I can't remember what he was reading but will ask later.

So do take care with Vitamins.  If one has a good diet with plenty of fats, fruits, veg., as well as a regular exercise regime, the body should not require extras ........ it will take from a good diet what it requires and pee out the excess.

Perhaps it's the smoking that causes premature death?  ;)

Something to do with VitE causing excessive bleeding ..........  I will need to read the article several times to get my head around it.

Many “antioxidant” products are marketed with claims that, by blocking the action free radicals, they can help prevent heart disease, cancer, and various other conditions associated with aging. These claims should be regarded with skepticism.
worth a browse as there's little on TV this evening.
