Confused.com What to try?

Hi,
I've become a bit overwhelmed by (my own) conflicted opinions as to where to go next in terms of a regime for myself till I get, if I get, a referral to a menopause clinic and a thorough assessment of what I need by specialists. The "norm" seems to be Vagifem (incidentally, I read it should not be inserted too far into the vagina for efficacy) and Ovestin. I have an Estring which is keeping tissue plump (of interest to me now that this is as highly inserted and located as possible!) but elasticity and capacity has gone. I tried Estriol,  0.01, prescribed by the gp, but almost immediately had a urethral tingle and urgency and marked nipple sensitivity so I stopped. Maybe that was it working and those reactions would have settled down, but it was just such a reaction so fast, I got scared. I'm not sure "normal" approaches will work for me as my M.E. pervasively affects and reacts to so many things. Only the Estring has not been problematic, but is clearly not enough any more. I'd prefer pessary treatments as gels/creams are a bit random? I keep coming back to treatments like DHEA, but am not sure if there needs to be a reasonable oestrogen presentation first for it to be able to metabolise more? I only have one ovary and am long post-menopausal. Imvaggis look interesting, too. Has anyone ventured away from Vagifem and Ovestin with success? Thanks!

Sadly this didn't get a response  :-\ but it does give several options for treatment.
