I watch the briefings sometimes but not the questions.  The press ask stupid questions

And they get stupid answers.  When they do answer the question, that is. ☹️

Wouldn't it be sensible, that prior to vaccinating people, a swab is taken 2 C how many are asymptomatic?  I can't get a test unless I show symptoms, however .........
Here we are being encouraged to get a test even when symptom free. My work is offering the same but I would have to travel into Central London to use the work option.

I don't know how that works  :-\ because 1 has to pay for test if symptom free.  Is your Company paying for these?

150 guests at a wedding: Yesodey Hatorah Senior Girls' School, in Stamford Hill, had been covered when they arrived at 21:15 GMT on Thursday.
Guests fled from the strictly Orthodox Charedi Jewish school when the police arrived. The organisers face a £10,000 fine for breaking lockdown rules.

In a statement, the school said its hall had been leased out.

[which is illegal under current lock down Laws]

A spokesman for the school, whose principal Rabbi Avrahom Pinter died in April after contracting coronavirus, said "we had no knowledge that the wedding was taking place".

He added: "We are absolutely horrified about last night's event and condemn it in the strongest possible terms."

The lateral flow tests are free when they are testing in a high rate area.

I expect that off the government but the press are just asking questions to score points and they are all the same questions.  It’s so annoying.

They are also pre-asked so that ready answers can be given.  Like PM's question time  ::)

Pity that we don't have details of those that recover and are discharged.

They are free here and the local authority is asking people to get tested to avoid asymptomatic spread. I had one yesterday before going into my workplace today.

Some companies pay for workers to have regular tests, if I want 1 as I don't have symptoms I would have to pay.

They are free in a lot of workplaces now.  They are in a lot of schools, NHS offices, Council offices.

MayB it's changed, I haven't really looked into local testing.  It would be useful to do a nose/throat swab B4 giving the jab and later doing anti-body tests.

Silverstone Half Marathon taking place at 1.00 p.m. on Sunday - how does that work?  People will mix at the Circuit, there will be huffing and puffing probably without masks ......... what happened to 'stay at home' .......... wonder how many other 'small' events are taking place that never make the News?
