That's crazy!  At least the gathering was outside but still...against protocol all the same.

There are bylaw officers/police officers now that are going around esp. in the bigger towns and cities that will be monitoring outdoor gatherings and addressing any complaints.  They are not permitted, however, to enter private homes to check for illegal parties.  I'm sure some will take advantage of this and still have gatherings. ::)

I think it will be a year B4 we can relax.  Boris has been slow in closing borders; now it's suggested that anyone coming in should isolate for 10 days in a hotel  :-\. Go figure.  Many have walked through UK airports without being stopped, checked, given advice and NOW ...... but many of us have been as close to keeping to the rules as we possibly can  :-\

I think that pro footballers should stop playing because they are all huggy/kissy/hi5fing and it's going through Teams like a Virus  >:(

That'll be the footballers who started getting three-times-a-week covid tests before the carehome workers even had enough PPE?  I expect they'll be shouting for priority to vaccines soon.

Boris did suggest that any huggy/kissy actions with footballers and the games would be banned.  Yeah right.

Well I’m having my first Covid Vaccination tomorrow after messing around for weeks deciding whether I actually want it. I can’t make a decision about a pair of shoes never mind this and I totally overthink things to the extreme. So after discussions with my brain box son, I’ve gone for it.

Wish me luck and hopefully I have no side effects.

Hi Blot,

I have two family members who are nurses.  Both have had their first vac and both felt unwell after.  The good news is that it was not too bad and they felt better after a couple of days. 🙂

My sister had hers on the 7th with no problems.  Go for it.  It's about protecting all of us.

My 81 year old mum had the vaccine before Christmas and had no side effects whatsoever, not even a sore arm. Others at work have had varying degrees of symptoms from nothing at all to spending days in bed.
I don’t ever have the flu vaccine and I am very nervous - feel sick actually - but after coming up with all the excuses I’m just going for it 😬

Does one get told which vaccine you are getting or is it pot luck? I think I would fancy the Oxford one if I had a choice. :-\
