July 2021 ? continuing risks ? (was C-19 2021)

Pity that the Army didn't spray cold water on all those who decided to gather at the various vantage points across the UK!  Which bit of 'stay at home' don't the public get?

£10,000 fines - who pays that?  All those attending illegal gatherings put into the kitty knowing that the Police will break up the party and what a waste of essential services  :'(.

I don't understand people being so selfish  :-\

I know what you mean.  Yesterday the new case count was over 3000.  It will no doubt climb once the holiday numbers are counted.  I am sure people were partying it up last night.

 ;D  probably   :whist:

Why can't people accept the restraints in order to keep others safe  :-\.  Or if they see others in a crowd, even if they have planned to be out and about, why don't they go home ............

I despair.  I really do.  Not many have knowledge about working in ICU or worse - even if they see snippets on TV.  All the machinery beeping is enough to drive you mad until you get used to all the bleeps etc..  And having to pump air into covid patients is hard work ......

My Dad was in hospital over Christmas due to a chest infection. He was almost ready to return home but they kept him in due to weakness and fatigue. He had tested negative for Covid on admission but, 2 days ago, we heard that he had tested positive so they have had to keep him in. No actual symptoms then but we haven't had any update and it is impossible to get through on the phone.  :(

Try ringing after 10.15 p.m.  I got the Nurse on the meds trolley the other night, she couldn't tell me anything other than that Mum had taken her meds ........  ::)

Could your Dad have been carrying the virus?  I don't know how long it takes from catching it to symptoms appearing and how long it takes to pass it on.  Mum tested positive in the care home  :-\ B4 she fell, admitted: has had another test this week but I can't find out the result - she's on a C Ward but progressing.

Unlikely because he had been alone at home for months. Unless 1 if the visiting carers passed it on to him.

If he had a chest infection was it possible that the Virus was brewing?  How is he now?

Time to begin sacking people?

Tottenham have criticised three of their players for breaching coronavirus rules by attending a party over Christmas.

A picture on social media shows Argentina forward Erik Lamela, Spain defender Sergio Reguilon and Argentina midfielder Giovani lo Celso at a party.

"We are extremely disappointed," Tottenham said in a statement.

West Ham have also reminded Argentina forward Manuel Lanzini, who also attended, of his responsibilities.

An American Quarter-back, seen at a party without wearing a mask, has been fined a lot of $ and released from his Contact yesterday!
