Non-infection discharge at 50
« on: July 18, 2020, 09:33:14 AM »

Hi I’m 50 and was taking combined pill until now and  was recommended by the nurse to take mini pill cos of my age tried it for six months but bled every day! So stopped taking,  not taking anything now for 2 weeks but still have a yellow/reddish Thin watery discharge constantly.  It’s not smelly and is not an infection does anyone else have this? Probably hormonal I suppose  :-\

Thin, watery discharge can be a symptom of vaginal atrophy, so yep, hormonal! Have a read of our threads on VA, which is caused by low oestrogen.

I see you didn't get any replies to your first post, which is a bit  >:(, but welcome  to the forum! Sorry I can't comment on the pills, I've no experience of these, but someone here will know.

:welcomemm:  do read the threads as suggested, make notes ;-).

Vaginal atrophy is totally different to bodily menopause symptoms ........ and is treated with local HRT.
