I've never wanted a swimming pool, although I do like swimming, if you do get one I'll come around for a swim and a chat with you and the cyclists  ;D

Do you know I can't remember  :D ..........

Cornwall to host our Grand Depart in 2020

We are thrilled to announce that Cornwall will host the OVO Energy Tour of Britain for the first time ever in September 2020!

The Grand Depart of the 2020 race will see riders travel 170 kilometres through the Cornish countryside, starting at Penzance and ending in Bodmin. The stage's provisional route (subject to final approval) will also visit St Just, St Ives, Hayle, Camborne, Pool, Redruth, Falmouth, Penryn, Truro, St Austell and the Eden Project.

However, although it shows men cycling in the 'photo, who knows  ;D

First team confirmed for the 2019 race!

We are pleased to confirm Drops are the first competing team in the 2019 OVO Energy Women's Tour!

The British team made their debut at the race in 2016 and have competed in every edition since. They will be the only British team competing in this year's event.

Northamptonshire's Alice Barnes notably placed sixth overall in the 2017 edition, while Dutch rider Eva Buurman finished in the top 20 of all five stages en route to eighth overall last year.

The team's 2019 roster features Olympic champion Elinor Barker and European Championships medallist Manon Lloyd.

Too many trying to cycle through a narrow space I believe.  It's the scrubbing brush that I would dread  :o

The women are having a hill stage at Burton Dassett [I think] .....

Also, James Cracknell and Beverley have split, due to his accident received in the US whilst he was cycling.  A lorry mirror hit and knocked him off ........ and Life for them both altered  :'(.  Apparently often head injuries affect temperament ......... memory and impulsive behaviour  :-\

Four councillors will boycott the Tour de Yorkshire next month in protest at fracking firm Ineos taking over the sponsorship of Team Sky.

Doncaster Labour councillors Dave Shaw, Nikki McDonald, Tosh McDonald and Lani-Mae Ball said they will not be supporting the race as it comes through the town on 3 May.

Ineos has licences to frack in Yorkshire, Cheshire and the Midlands.
