Nope, with Mum in care and with This Weather a dog isn't on our list of requirements - I am supporting Sealyhams which are a rare breed.  I may go out with a pack in the Spring ........ anxiety allowing ;-)

However: Scotland have voted to increase rent/camp site charges ......... the Council is complaining that visitors are apparently causing more rubbish, more necessity to clean the streets, more ........ so they have to charge visitors.  However, in England Councils charge businesses and service industries rates on properties: I could go on ......... so I need to get North B4 the tax is put on accommodation ;-)

Surprisingly I don't also don't like prosecco either it's the bubbles.
I don't drink any fizzy soft drinks either.

I don't drink anymore but I used to like the odd glass of prosecco.
I'm with you Lanza I don't drink any fizzy soft drinks, they just make me feel full so then I can't eat a meal!

Ohh and we are booked to go on a villa holiday to Majorca at Easter, we have also booked a cottage in Cumbria for Feb/Mar time :)

Can I join in please?
My chap and I want a holiday somewhere in the world but cannot decide where.
We both want to see Iceland but I really want to go somewhere exotic too.
Any ideas are very welcome!
Yorkshire Girl, we went to Pollenca last Huly. We booked a villa. We loved Mallorca. Very beautiful and not at all tacky. Gorgeous!

We love Mallorca too.  We have been countless times and stayed all over the island and never had a bad holiday.  We have been to Malta and Gozo, Gibraltar,  Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Croatia, Tenerife, Corfu, Ibiza, Menorca and when we're not sure where to go we say “let's go back to Mallorca.”  🙂.   About 4 hours flight is my maximum!

I'd love to go to Iceland too but my husband is not so keen - also is putting his foot down about flying too far these days - re the climate - but I haven't really travelled very far afield and would still like to explore even while respecting the planet....

You can't beat continental Europe if you haven't explored it thoroughly yet (which I haven't!). Do you want spectacular landscapes, interesting old towns, fishing villages, dramatic coastlines, remote mountains or what? Walking, climbing, exploring or sunbathing holiday? It's fun trying to choose!

Scotland - most of it is lovely.  Do avoid the midge season.
Wales - lots of history, scenery, honey ice cream.
England - we love Northumberland; Ambleside, Rydal Water, Helvellyn
Lots of museums across the UK if weather turns wet.  Plenty of beaches or strolls by canals/rivers; all due to hour economical history.  Ironbridge?  Bristol, Bath.

North Norfolk coast - a bit wild and woolly  ;D

A city break means not walking far.  Norwich, Cambridge, Oxford ........

Cathedrals - the UK is full of 'em.  Most have good towns built around them.

South of England: we love Brighton, Hove, Rye, Chicester; Clovelly  ........... tell me what you like to do in your spare time and I can sell you somewhere in the UK.  ;)

I have looked at Torquay ............ I could do with a week watching the waves from a posh balcony  ;D with room service.
