NEW ON HERE

Hi Everyone

This is my first message on here, I have been reading many of your messages and it makes me feel a little bit better knowing that I'm not the only one feeling like we feel
I am 53 and have been on HRT patches for nearly a year and they do make me feel more human after feeling very low, mood swings, not to bad with the flushes but had a few, terrible heart palpatations, aching joints to name but a few. The past few months though I have been getting pain around by rib cage on and off (which the doc thought it may be my gallbladder) plus indigestion and now this week pain around my back and lower abdomen
I have a Mirena Coil and I also have fibroids but the doc thought that these would start to shrink once on HRT, does anyone else have the some feeling/problems
But I do have to say that since going on HRT it has helped - can't wait for the whole menopause process to end - and I know from reading all your messages that some of you suffer a lot more :(

Hi, yes I do. I've had bloating, burping indigestion and palpitations whilst on Estrogel and Evorel Conti patches.

I stopped HRT just over 8 weeks ago but still having some symptons. I'm now wondering whether it's my gallbladder as most of the discomfort is just under my right rib. This morning I felt quite nauseous with it. I know Estrogens can have an impact on the the galbladder and I'm now wondering now if this is the reason for the flare up.:(

Hi

This is exactly what I have! All on the right hand side of my body. I've recently seen a specialist and I'm due for an endoscopy (ewghhh) and an ultrasound on my gallbladder. I have a family history of gallbladder disease so it wouldn't surprise me and I understand hrt can raise the risk.

Will you let me know how you get on? Xx

Well I've just tried munching on a few fennel seeds and it seems to be moving the wind into a southerly direction! :hotflash:

'Fennel is a saviour for your digestive tract, as it contains a compound that relaxes passages in your gastrointestinal tract, allowing gas to pass and for bloating to subdue. Fennel seeds are the best for bloating and can be soaked in hot water and drunk as a tea, or simply chewed on.'
