I love Soreen! What a totally brilliant idea!!

I've been experimenting with the best combo of things to eat before and during for a bit now. This is where I'm at so far:

Breakfast: bagel with smoked salmon/trout, philadelphia and avocado
Lunch: heavy on the carbs. I'd go another breakfast bagel
Mid/late afternoon: small banana.

Sugar snacks: jelly babies

We once had a full Scottish breakfast at the B&B we were staying at, before doing a winter walk (deep snow over 500ms). That was too heavy for me.
Then we had scrambled eggs for lunch and a slice of bread. I actually felt my body run out of fuel mid/late afternoon. It was a really weird experience. So I learnt that it's got to be a carby lunch for me when we do stuff like this.

Focus - you are very inspirational. :clapping:

If only there were a charity for Menopausal women which held events that challenged us.
That we could take on together. Support each other. Have a laugh.

Being outside is the best thing for me but a lot of people my age seem to retreat from life
post 50 focusing on what they are ' too old' to do now.

I went on the worlds fastest roller coaster last year and the attendant asked me before it started
if I was OK. I realised I  was the oldest person on it by at least 15 years - at 48! Not good for my confidence.....

People were carrying cycles up Helvellyn  ;D ......... I expected to find an Ice-cream van up there, instead it was 20 people over the age of 60  :D.  I was mid-20s then  ;D
