If you won the lottery tonight ....
« on: June 11, 2019, 08:13:28 PM »

The jackpot tonight is over £100m.
What would you do if you won that amount of money ?
I'm thinking I would build a commune. Women only. Lot's of space for animals and growing stuff.

I'll come to your commune, not sure what I've got to offer, but I'll still come, if you'll have me. 🙏🏻 😆

You can join my commune jillydoll. No one has to arrive with skills, just the willingness to learn and a big heart ;)

Thanks.....on my way! 🤣😂

I'd like to help the homeless, how? I don't know yet, but I know it's getting worse.
I'd have an animal sanctuary aswell. X

We would all live in eco friendly bungalows ...  very modern design.
Have solar panels and a couple of wind turbines. We'd have a lake and some woodland. An area for growing veggies,  as well as some lovely flower gardens.
A communual kitchen, large dining room and lounge for get togethers.
Everyone can bring there furry friends. We'd get a couple if rescue ponies to play with too.
You can tell I've put a lot of thought into this !!

We can run an animal rescue centre there as well ... if you like  :)

Invest it.  Then live off the Interest.

That bungalow with swimming pool off the bedroom would be built, alongside a walled patio area for sun-bathing: with a view .........

Other than that  :-\.  Animal sanctuaries are not easy to undertake, I've done kennel work .......... maybe put some money into mental health care for homeless people and pay Vet Fees for their pets.  Some people simply can't exist along-side others so good safe accommodation - rooms with en-suite - with access to basic food stuffs.

Wind turbines are not 'green'.  Many are constructed in Germany of concrete, then transported by huge lorries  :o ....... and take up valuable land which could be used for growing food stuffs.  A ground heat source might be better, plus large tanks to catch rain water which can be used for flushing loos or they could be serviced by diverting washing machines to flush them.

Chickens for eggs.  Goats, sheep etc. take too much paper work  ::) ......... poly tunnels and lots of space for growing, I go along with that, I need a lake/pond/water feature too  ;)

That's a hell of a lot of money....
I wouldn't want that much tbh, money's the route of all evil.....
Wouldn't mind a share of it though!....😏

Good luck Pants....🤞

Be nice if it was a large group of people who have won it, one person doesn't need it all  ;)
I've always thought it would be nice instead of one huge amount make the top prize one million and make 123 people millionaires ?

:'( not ours  :'(. DH has double checked the numbers  :-\ so the bungalow build is off.

Ah well. Back to the drawing board.  I wasn't planning on being part of the Commune, living next door; but of course, I could have built the swimming pools 4 you there .......... and a sociable patio, with bar and umbrellas above for all year use  ;)

It is.  I think that the amount should be capped and spread more evenly, I think that would encourage more people to buy a Ticket?  One couldn't spend the Interest on that amount as it would need to be invested carefully as Banks don't pay 'interest'  >:(
