Help for people in trouble - via 'ask for angela'
« on: March 17, 2019, 05:41:12 PM »

Ask for Angela has been set up as a coded signal for people to reduce sexual violence and vulnerability.  Being rolled out through Witney participating establishments will recognise the phrase and assist those that require being taken to a place of safety.

Good idea?

I think it's an excellent idea and has been used in this area for the last three years. I thought it was country-wide already?

Yes I have heard about this, think it's an excellent idea. Not sure if it is countrywide or not!

I don't think they are really on the rise so much as now reported more.  Girls need more education on staying safe and people must report when things don't seem right. We need to look after each other.
