I hated those pink wafer biscuits (which were always the last ones in the biscuit tin as someone had eaten all the plain chocolate digestives!)

To dip into hot chocolate? They always tasted damp, probably due to being the last in the tin?
I saw at C.mas that those alernative slices of 'lemon' and 'orange' in sugar in a round box are still sold
. Was there a point to those ever
. Easier than peeling fruit I suppose. And sugared almonds, great if you want to ruin your implants

Peanut brittle yum yum,or at least it used to be until I found I was intolerant to peanuts
Now that WOULD ruin your implants

*Heinz tinned steamed puddings. Think they took an hour of boiling. I was always worried the tin would explode!
*Fray Bentos "steak and kidney" pie was like dog food (not that I know!) under soggy "pastry".
*Sugar sprinkled on everything, granulated mind. On tomatoes, BANANAS......sets my teeth on edge thinking about it.
😂

Remember when banoffee pie was a big thing, and we all started boiling tins of condensed milk? I never did trust them not to explode, I used to keep out of the kitchen until they were done, then run in, turn the ring off, and run out again

My friends were in the pub the 1st night bannoffee pie was served: The Hungry Monk : now out of business as the family retired 2 years ago.
Love it! 18 months ago I had an old can of commiommie that had gone the colour of toffee all by itself: it was about 2009 . I didn't think it would 'go' in the tin!

I don't remember it ever being used to make anything when I was young, but now and again my mum would open a tin and put it in the fridge. Every day for the next few days she would hand us each a teaspoon and nod towards the fridge...

We had 2 ginger kittens years++ ago loved cheese and condensed milk. Which shelf it was on, they seemed to know and as soon as the fridge door was opened, paws would grab
