Menocheck
« on: May 25, 2020, 04:58:11 PM »

For those of you are still perimenopausal, have you heard about Menocheck?  This is fairly new in UK and I did it.  Basically, it helps determine when you will enter the menopause.  It checks the AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormones) level and if this is low the it suggests that you're not far from the menopause.  It doesn't give you an exact date but an accurate approximate of when it will happen.  I costs ?49 if you do it at home or ?99 if you have blood taken by a medical professional.  I did this at home and my AMH level is very low suggesting that I will enter the menopause in less than 5 years.  This is not the same as FSH and the other hormone produced by the ovaries.  These two flunctuate so you cannot get an accurate reading.
