Thank you all for this information, I have bought some magnesium today and hope it'll help with sleeping and hot flushes which haven't been too great since coming off of HRT just over a month ago.

Does anyone know whether magnesium baths are likely to cause problems with VA issues?

Hmm. Any bath can upset VA and showers instead are usually recommended 🤷‍♀️

Possibly not a good idea to use magnesium in the bath if you have VA as it may make the vaginal area too dry.

My Herbalist advised 400-600mg of Magnesium Glycinate as it's easily absorbed.

Just an addition, i have developed intermittant periods of IBS since starting Peri which i never ever had before.  Finally found a tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar in 500ml water is one of the best probiotics and can re-set your gut. I swear by it and nowhere as expensive pills.

I am right in the middle of testing for my 8% premature ventricular beats. My magnesium and potassium were fine and so was my thyroid. There is no proof that supplementing magnesium does anything for menopause symptoms and palpitations. Magnesium can actually cause diarrhea, so people should be careful with it.

Proper medical examinations are the way to go along with a healthy diet and exercise. I have learned from experience, not to self diagnose or medicate with natural therapies that do not have any regulation or even proof that they work.

Anyway, just my thoughts. I am sure many will disagree.
