Excellent news. I think your GP was right to order blood tests though as unexplained bruising plus bleeding gums etc can be a sign of something more sinister.

Happy Easter.

Unfortunately the bruising has started up again and my stomach is tender. I have decided to go to A & E today as a precaution.

Now back home again. Doctor reassured me that the bruising/discomfort was just on the surface and caused by my low blood platelets (which he tested again and had it improved slightly since earlier in the week). I have had a tendency to bruise easily on my legs and occasionally arms for over 20 years but never on the stomach. Apparently it can easily happen without me even knocking myself at all. I had always assumed that I had bumped  myself somewhere if only very lightly.

Good news and at least it's reassured you.
