Hi All. I started on elleste conti 2mg last August but I have a very large Fibroid and feel that it has grown quite a lot. I was on climagest 2mg before this and know why I have changed to the combined tablet. Th fibroid is now becoming uncomfortable for me. I am going to see my GP next week but was wondering if anyone else had suggestions? HRT has been a life saver for me in all other respects. I am 54. Thanks.

Hi deacon - are you having scans to check the growth of the fibroid? In the patient information leaflet for Elleste it does say that fibroids need to be monitored. I'm not sure which is the best HRT to use. It may be possible for you to have an ablation which is where the lining of the womb is "microwaved" to get rid of the fibroid but it does depend on where it is in the womb I believe.
