I`ve always been a pretty rubbish sleeper but over the past year it`s got worse. I go to sleep till 2 or 3 am then just can`t switch my head off however hard I try. Sometimes that`s the end of sleep for the night. Strangely I seem to function ok the next day (do feel tired but it doesn`t stop me getting up or functioning normally) although I`m sure it`s not doing my body much good. Have tried nytol etc but don`t really want to go down the route of clinical sleeping tablets.  Just hanging on in there!  :o

Hi Dancing Queen,
I have been given clinical sleeping tablets but can't function the next day, so wont take them.  I dont like nytol either to be honest.  Have tried loads.
Like I say the only 2 things which have worked and let me get up the next day like I have had normal sleep is Melatonin and/or valarian tablets. I found sometimes when I was really bad the valarian were not strong enough but the melatonin because they come in different strengths would do the job. Both are natural and not clinical.

Why not give them a try if you are struggling?

I buy it off the internet.  I use well established sites with good reputation and there is no customs charge if they are American Biovea, eVitamins.com or VitaminGrocerUk.

I seem to be staying up later & later these days, which is probably due to the Coronavirus situation. I've been furloughed so no need to get up early in the morning.
I've got in to a habit of "just checking" the MM forum etc & before I know it it's gone 1am  :o :o
Am I the only one to have adopted this bad habit?

morning - what time to you wake up?    DH sits up to watch Opal Hunters whilst I'm in the bath, then he has his soak - it can be gone mid-night B4 we switch off the lights.

This morning he was up, hungry, at 1.50  ::) and awake again at 7.30; fidgeting  >:(

Sometimes I see the dawn - around 4.45 ish - but that's because the crow visits the bird table at that time and lets everyone know that he's arrived  ;D I do go back to sleep. Today, though, I couldn't get back to sleep. It's a lovely time of day but I guess I should have gone to bed at 11!

I wanted to the bathroom and back, I think it was light  ::) then a wood pigeon began outside the window so DH shut it.  Quietly.  That was around 6.30 a.m.
