I was awful as a child too Suzi Q. Maximum 2 hours sleep until I went to school. I can even remember baby sitter walking me up & down in my pram one night, trying to get me to nod off. I babbled the whole time. Not grumpy, just not sleepy. Another time my mum & dad came home to find baby sitter & my big brother flaking out having tried to get me off to sleep & I was still full of life.
