Is it necessary for English speakers to say as much as we do?

i.e. safe haven …… wrong because a haven is what it says on the tin

I will tell my son that one. My son scared of them and will not be happy till we caught it even a tiny one. We tell him we caught it and put it outside. Anything for a quite life!

Spiders are scary 'cos they scuttle  - I rarely kill one, how about buying one of those spider catchery things from lakeland - then you can examine it in safety, they really are quite clever! those knees for starters  .  I have a biggy in our garden shed, it scurried into a large web which is where it will stay until I get the long-handled feather duster
