This forum has been set up as a safe haven for ladies to find some kindness and comfort at an uncertain time of life. You'll find friendship, advice, information and like-minded ladies to chat with and share experiences.

As administrator, I spend quite a bit of my free time keeping the forum running smoothly, secure from spammers and rogue submissions.

You are requested and required to keep your posts civil and in keeping with normal good manners. If a member proves to be intimidating, offensive or ill mannered, they may be required to be removed permanently from this forum.

Thank-you Rik, 99% of us really appreciate your work and it is clear to me now that not all of us are always aware of just how many problems are being experienced.

I am sorry too that you have felt bullied Poppins, i have not long been posting on a regular basis on this forum and fotunately i never encountered bullying by anyone. I am surprised that there are people that would derive any pleasure or satisfaction out of doing that, but apparantly there is evidence that it has been happening.. I hope that i have never unknowingly upset or offended anyone, as i would be quite upset if i thought i had ( paranoid head on now), i am sure that the majority of us on here are all genuine and nice people...

no micky you are fine, i may be over emphasising the 'bullying' bit but have felt very uncomfortable at times and very wary where i post because of fear of a backlash, maybe me being paranoid too ::)
i too wouldnt want to be without this forum, but have been close to keeping away, now feel very reassured

Me too.  When I first joined, not that long ago, I felt that the same person was always following on my posting, quite agressively.  So I stopped for a while just to see.  I dont like bullying either.  Its not too strong a word Poppins

It felt like a black cloud over our heads and I know that some women on here were more affected than others.  It was very hard for most of us to bite our tongues and not retort back for fear of bullying or reprisals and in that respect we should not be seen as weak but as dealing with the problem like the mature adults we are.  Long may this forum be a happy place to be and woe betide anyone who wants to rock the boat again  :peace:

I whole heartedly agree with every single comment made here today, there is no room for bullies on forums, the workplace or in our day to day lives, as Rik stated we are here to support and encourage, if you don't agree with a comment either ignore it, or say politely that you disagree, whats the old adage" if you can't say something nice-say nothing at all"
