Wedding flower panic with 1 day to go and counting.....

One day to go! Wedding flower panic!!!!!
I have just discovered that everyonewho needs to- grooms father (husband)and brothers brides mum and grandmother have buttonholes and cortages which are being made up by the florist to be collected on Saturday morning I have been overloked - I'm the grooms mother, and none have been ordered for me- I am desperately upset and feel slighted, I have asked and asked to be involved in the preparations but have been told each time 'no thanks' and yet we all get on well. should I get my own corsage- or not bother- I feel like not bothering !
I have relised that I need to get my daughter in law to be a present, was going to get her something nice today. any ideas?
I'm really upset and I havent slept a wink all night.

Things often get overlooked at weddings so try not to take this personally. Have you had a word with your son or are you not on speaking terms at the minute? Do you know which florist as you could phone them and get one extra made up - offering to pay if it's necessary. Or you can pop into your own local florist and get one made up just for you. It's tempting to not bother but I feel that on the day you will really wish you had. Hold your head up high - you are not beaten!!
As for a present - is that the normal thing to do then? I didn't know that but haven't been the mother-in-law to be either. Do you know what she likes?

I agree, if you don't get one made up, you'll kick yourself tomorrow. You be proud, you are the groom's mum after all.
I thought presents were given to the couple, never heard of an individual one to the bride. If it's expected how about a small piece of jewellery, something simple. Silver is popular with the younger generation. Of course it could be just white metal, depending on your budget, it's not the cost but the thought that counts.

the suns up and I feel better! I have calmed down and feel daft about having a strop!!!!!
Off to the local florist now to get a corsage made up, I will hold my head up and smile.... :D
We are getting them a new tumble dryer whilst theyre on honeymoon and get it up and working for their return, after all they need one with a young baby too! Its not very romantic but weve already paid lots towards the wedding.
Sorry for acting like a spoilt little brat ladies!!!!! ::)

My reaction would be that I wouldn't be going to the wedding. Your SON not remembering >:( .... as for giving the daughter in law a gift, nope. The B/G are responsible for giving the attendants and ushers something, the parents 'give' the wedding ;) - my Mum had our cake made and iced as a gift to us ......... but she was paying for it all anyway. Dad gave us a car ....... as well as eventually walking me up the aisle.
I would be FURIOUS :cuss: hurt and angry.
