Newbie premenapause

Hi guys I'm new here and looking for some advice as I feel I'm going off my head!

I'm 35 married with 3 kids and at this moment in time feel absolutely awful for my family!

For the last year I've had symptoms on and off
Dry/sore vagina
Loss of libido
Increase in facial hair
Hot flushes
Moody (but I'm a woman)
Restless nights sleep

I've been and had blood tests last year and the doctor said blood results were fine but she phoned the gyne and they said to put me on a low dose of hrt or the pill but I never went back to docs!!

Over the last 8 weeks or so I've been a mess
Jealous
Anxious
Angry
Sad
Tearfull
Guilty
Hot flushes
Peeing all the time
No energy at all
No interest in anything
My menstrual cycle is still around but different from before now getting stomach cramps!

I'm not one to bother the doctor but I think I should go now just hope they can help me get back to my normal self I feel like a raving loony!!

Hi Faye -welcome to the forum.

I would think that if your gynae recommended either the pill or a low dose HRT then this is what you need. It's not right that you should suffer like this when either of these two things might make all the difference to you.

Go back to your GP and ask for a prescription. At your young age HRT does not seem to present the same risks as it does for women over 50 and you might very well get your life back!! HRT will also give protection to your heart and bones up to the usual meno age of around 51.

Let us know how you get on. There is lots of information, advice and friendship here.

Thanks Taz for the reply :-)

I'm defo going to make an appointment for tomorrow (hopefully)

I feel so sorry for my family just now and it's getting me down!

The worst part is jealousy and I've never been jealous before or maybe I have and not realised it, I know deep down its all silly thoughts but I can't seem to get over it or I do then like 2 weeks before my period the green eyed monster appears! I don't know if this could be down to the premenapause or something else??

It sounds like pmt type symptoms. Things that you may  just casually think about but then forget about the rest of the month become really big during the second half of your cycle and just wont go away. Hopefully HRT or the pill depending on what you decide on with the GP will even the moods out for you.
