Hi all im new to all this was told i was going through early menopause just over a month ago after not having a period for over 2 years. I was put on kliovance. I was wondering if it is normal to start bleeding again i was told i shouldn't experience any bleeding or if i did it would be most likely just be spotting. Ive been bleeding since thursday night and phoned nhs 24 who told me just to monitor it and let the doctor know at my 3 month check up which is in september. I've also been experiencing breast tenderness and heart flutters which i am getting checked out at the hospital tomorrow. Can anyone help please.

Hi Karen - it can be normal to experience bleeding in the first three to six months of a continuous HRT such as Kliovance. It takes a while for it to settle. Although you haven't had a period for two years the oestrogen will have stimulated your womb lining.  I have always had bleeding on continuous HRTs but I am much older than you are. Have you been referred to a specialist clinic as you are going through premature menopause? This is the info from the menu on the left of the screen about premature menopause. Hello, Karen. I take Kliovance, and although I've had no bleeding, it can happen on continuous combined HRT, but shouldn't be anything to worry about. I hope things settle down for you soon.
