Didn't know that either, must try putting some mash out for them.
Brie and cress quiche for me and OH is having a fry up, I hardly ever allow him that so it's a super treat for him as well as being married to me ....obviously  8)

 ;D

Don't put salt into spuds if you are cooking specifically for the birds - we had a pied wagtail, robin, dunnock and blackbird helping themselves earlier but they weren't keen on the chips thrown out last week  8)

? Quorn ? any1?

The short explanation is that Quorn is a “mycoprotein” fermented in vats from a fungus found in soil. A fuller – but still heavily truncated – one is that it is made from a strain of the soil mould Fusarium venenatum by fermenting it, then adding glucose, fixed nitrogen, vitamins and minerals and heat-treating it to remove excess levels of ribonucleic acid. (In other words, it is a long way from what the phrase “plant food” may seem to denote.)

I've made gluten free spaghetti bolognese from scratch and a homemade cheese & garlic bread to go with it. My youngest son has made gluten free cookies too
