Guilty as charged JP....

In from work and have prepared shop bought fishcakes with salad...

I'm with you, sometimes I just do not have the time, inclination or energy to cook from scratch.

No joaniepat
I do like ready meals, but, my OH doesn't!
He won't eat pasta, supermarket curry, Chinese(except Chinese curry)
Well, just about anything you can buy ready made!
He won't eat onions, or anything spicy like Mexican food.
He really is boring when it comes to food.
I've tried for years to get him to try different things but he won't!
It's his mothers fault, she's the same, didn't give him the experience of trying different
tastes because she didn't like them! When he was young.
Sad really, because he's missing out on some really good things.

jd, what a shame about your OH! He is indeed missing out, but I hope that doesn't mean you have to.
My father was just the same, but Mum and I would eat anything.
I have rosacea and anything spicey can make my face flush nowadays, but you've inspired me to make a very mild chicken curry. Think I'd better not trust a ready made one, though!

We had roast chicken, mash potatoes, roasted carrots n potatoes,
Broccoli, Savoy cabbage, and stuffing.
I love my veg, I only ever have a tiny bit of meat, whatever it is,
I'd sooner eat a plate of veg. Oh and home made gravey, they don't like bistro gravey.
No pudding though tonight.

Joaniepat,
No not in the least, I love my garlic and onions, he sometimes moans because I stink of
garlic but I'm used to that by now. He can go an whistle, I wouldn't stop eating my garlic
because he don't like it..lol
I get quite annoyed though when he won't try anything new, even now ,after all these years
I try to get him to taste things, but he won't, and I'm sure he'd like it.
but I suppose you can't change someone who's set in their ways. (Silly old goat)  :beat: lol
Hope you're curry was nice and you enjoyed it.

Daisydot,

I'll have to have  a look for those bags, there's a Lakeland shop not too far from me.
Although OH likes his to cut up on a plate instead of in a toasted sandwich,
if it's a toasted sandwich he wants, then the proper sandwich toaster has to come.out.  >:( :P
Just one of his many funny ways.. :-*
