Hmm this is really interesting - glad someone put it back up the top again. All weekend my stomach has been terrible - gurgly burping acidly bloated and feeling a bit squeamish. Am due my period on fri so am wondering if it's hormonal. Gavisvon has been helping a bit but it's still not gone away completely. Getting panicky that it won't be away before I go my hols on fri - this post however has reassured me somewhat that it is prob hormonal. Xxx

I know i sound like an advert for probiotics on this forum sometimes  ;D but I honestly don't know what I'd do without them. My gut problems are so much better these days (touch wood!). I started off taking acidophilis tablets, after finding that omeprazole made my problems worse not better. It was such a relief! A few days of acidophilis did the trick and I stayed on them for months.

Nowadays I make my own probiotic drink, called kefir, and take it daily. It contains yeast too and my thrush has cleared up. I'm a happy bunny at the moment and would urge others to look in that direction if they aren't getting any joy with their regular antacids :).
