"This one is because I have a twisted stomach, spent nearly all last year being sick, and feeling flu like. I have since found out that I also have Fibromyilgia and that explains why I keep feeling so very tired.   He is also repairing my hiatus hernia   .... "

Why do you have to probably feel sick following this surgery, did the Registrar explain why?  I wonder if the Coliac Society or another organisation for sufferers of bowel problems would give advice?

If you aren't eating regularly the gut will feel sick/empty.  Are you managing to graze at all?

Yes I do graze, and I have put most of the weight that I lost back on.  Of course on the days I feel very sick, I am unable to eat much at all.
Before I had the surgery the specialist explained that after the surgery he could not predict how my stomach would behave, so what am I to do?
I hate being like this, nothing worse than feeling nausious.

I really do agree.  I can cope with anything until my stomach joins in   >:( :-\

Have you tried ginger ? It is known to have anti-nauseous properties.  Has the Consultant recommended any anti-nausea medications, i.e. motillium or even a travel sickness preparation to be taken on  aregular basis?  Are your bowels regular now?  The gut can feel sick if it's empty.

Maybe you will have to bear with these feelings until your stomach gets 'lined' again, are there foods that you could eat but now find make you queasy?

I want you to feel well.  I had over 30 years of daily nausea in fact on the days I didn't feel sick I ticked the calendar!

Can I ask why you felt sick for all that time ? Yep tried ginger. Ondansetron is what they give people after chemo, and even that doesn't work on me. Have tried so many different ones.  Sometimes I feel hungry ,but when I smell the food cooking I don't want it.
I am waiting for an appointment for the barium enema, (what joy) !
It's very difficult to stop getting really depressed, and I appreciate the help I get on here......

Because I didn't eat properly but was unable to do so  ::)

The smell of cooking can turn my stomach  :-\ :-X  .... which is why I stick to bland foods, i.e. dried fruits and nuts can help ease the nausea.

I did for a while but the side effect was that I slept: a lot  ::).  In my worst days I would wake in the night to see whether I still felt sick  :-\
