There's heaps of songs I like, I'd struggle to find my favourite 8 as there are so many.

I agree about the violins.
I would be in the water with you Taz.
This one would be so hard. Especially with a memory as bad as mine.

One assumes that there is a hand-operated record player which has a turn table which needs winding and as for luxuries, I remember that one could not take a piano because it could be used as an escape vessel

Moody Blues - For my Lady
Tracy Chapman - Baby Can I Hold a you
James Taylor - You Can Close Your Eyes.
Enya - Amerantine
Andrea Bocelli - La Voce Del Silenzio
Andrea Bocelli - Mille Lune Mille Onde.

I used to facilitate groups for people who were struggling with their mental health. One of the workshops I did was to ask people to bring along one song that was special to them and to say why. I can tell you it was the most powerful workshop I did - people were able to say why a song was special and then as a group we listened to the piece. It was a really uplifting and positive experience - not only to share our own fav song but to be part of hearing about someone else's. There were some tears too that day as it was very moving but the feedback was incredible with people asking if we could do it again.
Not sure what songs i would pick for myself at this stage in my life - my fav songs change depending on what's going on in my life. Interesting to think about though. xxx
