Can anyone tell me what the self test kit is called?  I am going to try to get one in Greece but it might be easier if I have a name (everything is available in pharmacies without prescription here).

Hi Ladies - I am not sure whether any of you are following this young ladie's fight against bowel cancer but unfortunately her cancer has returned - she is a very gutsy young woman and I am sure that any support by way of comments she receives are helpful http://sitemanagergal.wordpress.com/

I know this is an old thread but just wanted to say that I found out today that the girl who wrote the blog, Hannah Berry, died on the 28th April. Her ambition was obviously to beat the cancer but it returned in her kidneys and brain. She then wanted to celebrate her 30th birthday which was on the 7th April 2013 and this she achieved - celebrating from the hospice via twitter. I was so sad to read that she had died.

Hannah was a member of our forum..www.beatingbowelcancer.org/forum, she posted regularly initially and was a great support to others.

We have lost others of a similar age since. :(

It can happen at any age, being bowel aware is very important, and persist with GP if you feel something is wrong.

I read quite a lot of her blog last night and was so moved by her courage throughout her illness.

She was an inspiration.

Kind of brings the problems of menopause into very sharp focus.

I am not very religious but

There by the grace of God go I.
