Vaginal Polyp
« on: November 06, 2011, 12:44:51 PM »

Anyone else had these?

What do they look like?

Off to the doc tomorrow to check, I'm so fed up with worrying about everything, never used to be neurotic!!! I used to be a normal, confident, capable, unflappable person, what happened?

I think that vaginal polyps are a bit like skin tags.

I had a vaginal cyst that felt like a very hard pea just inside my inner lips. It was quite happy for about a year then morphed into an abcess.

Polyps tend to be on a stalk???

Let us know what your dr says, is it a female or male Dr?? I had to show my abcess to a male Dr ::)

It's a female gp. I wouldn't be keen to show my bits to the male ones as I've socialised with some of them  :o

Why do you think that you've got a polyp, Libby?
I'm having an exam on Weds to see if I've got one. I was having a problem with spotting and during an exam a gp said that I might have a polyp but she couldn't see clearly because of the blood.  :o She referred me to the hospital but the spotting stopped. I rang my gp and she suggested that I cancel the appointment and go to her for another internal. If it's a small polyp, she'll remove it to save me going to the hospital but we both suspect that there's nothing there and that the cause of the spotting was a change of HRT.

Good Luck with it, not sure about polyps in that area but I did have one on my cervix. The doctor said it looked like the tip of your baby finger and the darn thing bled on and off. Still I was pregnant at the time and once the baby came it disappeared. Yes I think they are pretty much like skin tags:)

Yep.  My gynaecologist told me it needed surgical removal but I wasn'tkeen. I bled on touch only and gave no other symptoms.  I wantedsimply to know that it wasn't cancerous.  I eventually cancelled the surgery and after menopause, it went away all be itself  ;)
