I know I've spoken on here about this before but not in any great depth as far as I remember.  Since coming home from holidays my legs have been burning hot in bed at night.  Can't get to sleep as a result.  I've suffered with it for many years, but as yet have not approached my GP about it.  I mentioned it once in passing but GP didn't offer any answers at that time. It's the worst it's ever been & it can be different parts of my legs, but always muscles. I've tried looking it up online, some say restless legs & one today even mentioned it as a symptom of Fybromyalgia. I do have general aches & pains, but who doesn't at our age? It truly is doing my head in & wonder if anyone on here can shed any light on it.  Is it worth mentioning to my GP or do I just put up & shut up?

I get really cold feet and hands normally, but since starting peri-meno my legs and feet star off cold when going o bed, then wake up in night with them really hot, and try to find cold bit of sheet o cool them down on, also my right foot glows hot on and off five or six times each day, I think it is hormones flutuating up and Down.

it doesn't hurt to mention it to gp,

Have you been in menopause long?

As for fybromyalgia I think a few other ladies on forum have it,may be they can give you some info and put your mind at rest.

My friend has this, says she has 'normal' legs when she gets into bed but they get hot during the night. Will be interested to see how this thread progresses so I can pass on any useful info.

Can you pin point it to any particular activity. You said that you had walked a lot on your holidays and perhaps you are still over tired. I dont have hot legs just restless ones. Not so much in bed but in the evening. I dont know where to put them.....but I do know that if I have walked a lot during the day then my legs will be bad in the evening.

A trip to the GP could be the answer...but perhaps wait until you are completely over your extra activity and see if it settles a bit and then you will know for cetain.

Strangely they didn't bother me on holiday!  Now that could be because always had air con set really low in our room, or because I was so knackered that I slept right through it.  I'll be due to see GP soon as I have blood tests next week & to have my current meds reviewed so will mention it again & see what is suggested.

I have this too cubagirl. I have to sleep with my legs uncovered
in bed.My OH says 'you're hot again'?  
I often wake up in the night and my whole body is hot
While my OH is wrapped up in the duvet like a sausage roll and says,
" I was freezing last night".
I also have restless legs.Usually in the evening when I'm settling down
to watch the telly.All of a sudden my leg will kick up and I just don't
know what to do.If my legs are too hot then I find that the restlessness
is worse or if I'm tired.

I would mention it to your GP if you are seeing him soon
