I started on HRT back in January this year so 8/9 months ago o a low dose with sequi Utrogestan as still having regular periods.  All good.  I increased HRT dose and have been on a standard full dose for the last couple of months and have had breakthrough bleeding on days 18 roughly for the past coupe of months. No expected period at the end of the cycle either. So am thinking this may well be due to my increasing HRT dose.
I can't get an appt at my GP or call with nurse for a few weeks so my question is, do I:

- Carry on with my sequi Utrogestan 200mg days 15-27? (difficult because I don't know what 'day 1' is anymore!)
- Switch to a conti regime of 100mg every day?

If you are not bleeding at the end of the cycle and bleeding instead during it, it just means you have got out of sync with your cycle.

When you bleed, stop taking the utrogestan. That is now Day 1. Work it out from there. Keep recalculating it every month and keep track of how long your cycles are. They will get shorter before they get longer. Your cycle has probably gone to 21-23 days and you are there taking utrogestan until day 26 and getting all out of sync....

It's not about reducing your HRT dose if you feel good at that dose.

And no, you don't want a conti regime or you will just bleed all over that.

Don't be a robot and just take utrogestan whenever, you need to use it within your own cycle.

If worried than make that appt next week U can always cancel if you no longer require it.  At our surgery we can be seen the same day if it's urgent, usually it's 3 weeks to see our GP or 2 to see any of the others, both the latter work part time.
