Thanks dear ladies
Just back from hospital. I feel relieved that he's now in the right place. Horrible seeing someone in so much pain!
He's sitting "prepped" with his stylish gown and compression stockings on  :o. He wasn't up for a selfie let me tell you! Assuming no emergencies come in, he'll get done today 🤞. He was a bit quiet. Has never had an op so think he's a bit concerned 😟
Hope you're enjoying your time in the RV, Jaypo  :)

:thankyou:  I took propranolol in the evening to ease early morning anxiety surges.

discogirl if u take 10mg at night you'll be OK.   :bighug:  I found that good effects lasted at least 3 days by which time the causation had gone.   Also knowing that it worked helped a lot.

Hi clkd

Apart from propranolol what medication did you take for your anxiety x

Use every night and if your GP refuses then ask for a referral to a dedicated menopause clinic.  Without regular treatment this condition may become worse which then takes longer to settle symptoms.

Why would your GP. not prescribe?  Is there a Nurse Practitioner to speak with?  The details in the leaflet are out of date.

758 pmol is a very good level and for most women it's enough to be symptom free.

Re the high bilirubin level, you have probably inherited Gilbert's syndrome.  It's very common and unfortunately levels increase at menopause and in pregnancy.  My sister found out she had it when she was pregnant but I have never been pregnant and found out post menopause.  My bilirubin level had been right at the upper limit before that.

It's harmless and interestingly it protects you from some cancers but it's not always symptom free and a lot of people have IBS and fatigue.

Crispy, I'm glad you have a plan and you are not just left with nowhere to go.

In your situation, I would research all options and probably consult two or even three different specialists.  I think with something as complex as this, you need several opinions.  It might end up costing money but it will be worth it, particularly if you get your life back and you can work again.

Hopefully other members will have some recommendations and luckily, most specialists are happy to have telephone or video consultations now.

Thanks. I've still got my Estring in and use Vagifem to top up when I think it's needed but that's just cos I have some left over. Not sure the Dr will prescribe any more 😔

I feel rubbish, having lots of numbness and tingling, really expected my b12 to be low.
Hoping diet changes csn be offered first. Been really u0set about it as one of my health anxiety is dropping dead of cardiac issue, having high cholesterol isn't going to help this.
I'm nightshift next week so hopefully speak to a doctor on my ward before I speak to GP.

Try not to let this high cholesterol issue rule your life, years and years ago mine was constantly high, it still is. I tried all the different statins available but they made me very ill with terrible muscle pain. I have always had a good diet and exercise so it has to be genetic, therefore nothing can be done about it. They have given me an alternative which brought it down a little bit, but they still want me to have statins alongside this other medication which of course I refused.

Another bugbear that I had to contend with and always being told off about, was the fact for years I had been pre-diabetic, couldn't understand that one but two years on after taking a zinc supplement I am well clear of developing diabetes.

I do read a lot on here if you have a good diet you shouldn't need vitamins and supplements but with the ageing process, I have proved we definitely do.

My GP result shows me the guide they use but that's only for my region. Using their ranges I can see where my levels are in their range.
