A wildlife rescue that took in what was thought was a baby hedgehog found it was actually caring for a bobble from a hat.
It was brought to the Lower Moss Nature Reserve and Wildlife Hospital by a well-meaning rescuer last week.
On arrival they discovered the hoglet was in fact a "faux furry friend", a volunteer for the animal charity said.
"Our hearts melted", the volunteer at the rescue, based in Knutsford, Cheshire, added.
The rescue posted on social media a photo of the decorative ball, showing it nestled in a box beside a bowl of food.

That reminds me of a story in the news a while back when someone plonked a big stuffed toy tiger in a field and then armed police arrived surrounding said tiger ;D

Apparently North Korea watch BBCs Gardeners World, they weren't happy about Alan Titchmarsh's trousers so blocked them from the waist down :-\

Big stuffed tigers are more dangerous than one would think, Jaypo ;D.
Poor old Alan Titchmarsh! I mean, can you think of anyone more easy-going and inoffensive as Al?
I was a tad surprised that our famous gardener was visible on North Korean telly at all :o. Thank goodness he wasn’t wearing double denim. They’d seriously have been after him then!
Honest to God, what next?

Would the BBC have sold gardeners world to N Korea or do they view illicitly ............ :-\
