Title: Collagen
Post by: Haydo on November 13, 2021, 02:37:20 PM
I am wondering if anyone has benefited from taking collagen for their pelvic floor health?  I have a friend who is convinced it has helped her strengthen her pelvic floor, and I am considering trying it myself.  Does anyone have any thoughts, experiences or suggestions concerning this?

Get an appt with a physiotherapist interested in women's health?  She can advise on gentle exercises if necessary and you can then talk about collagen supplements.  Where would you start though: how much would you need daily?  A loss of oestrogen causes laxity of muscles  ::) Bugga.

I’ve seen a private pelvic floor physiotherapist and do the exercises she suggested for me.   I also use vagifem and ovestin.  I just wondered if anyone had any experience of using collagen and whether they found it benefited them in relation to their pelvic floor.

I would ask the physiotherapist.  Some products are recommended because the company sells them ;-).
