Title: New to the forum but not to post-menopause horror
Post by: Lamplighter on January 14, 2021, 03:20:06 PM
Hello everyone, have been lurking in the shadows for a while reading around - this is a great forum and I can't help but think that it should be obligatory reading for all medical professionals dealing with women 'of a certain age'.  ;)

I have a lot to ask (and a lot to say!) but thought I'd introduce myself here first before bombarding the other sections with posts.

I'm nearly 65 - forced to start full strength systemic HRT 7 years ago due to increasingly horrendous symptoms - the prime motivating one being to do with vaginal atrophy (as I now know it).  Five years of relief getting on with a normal life (as one would expect no?) only to have the HRT I was using (Nuvelle continuous) discontinued.  Nice pun there.

Cue endless horrors trying to find a replacement not only that would work as well, but that would just work.

Currently trying Elleste Duet Conti (just over three weeks now) after it too being unavailable literally for years due to the so-called shortages (can you tell I'm not a happy bunny as regards all things HRT and menopause related  :(  ).

Nothing doing so far but I persevere, as do we all eh? given there's not much else we can do.

Looking forward to meeting you all around the place

p.s. love the smileys, but couldn't find a wave (as in wave hello).  Is there one similar?

Hi!   :welcomemm:  browse round. Ask away, nothing is too much info., most has been discussed B4 ;-). How is the atrophy?

Will these do?  :thankyou:   :great:

CLKD  :thankyou:

The VA doing nicely thankyou (being sarcastic).  I have problems more with the labia than anything else even though that is caused by atrophy.  Have lots of questions to ask about this but might just ration my posting so as not to bombard the boards.

Oh bombard away  ;D.  We have threads about bladder issues and vaginal atrophy.  Do read the threads.  Make notes  ;)
