Does anybody else suffer with this? Some nights it gets so itchy I could tear the skin off. My youngest is 22. Have tried savlon, sudocrem, germolene etc but it doesn't help. Its sore sometimes too :(
-
Hi,have you tried an antihistamine cream at all? Seems a few of us on here seem to have allergies coming out, seems odd at this time of year, also allergies are heightened during meno too
-
Yep. My sterilisation scar itches like fury sometimes. In fact all 3 scars itched last week: breast, appendiscetomy as well. I use a cold compress and Savlon rubbed in gently.

Thanks, hadnt thought of antihistamine cream, will give that a go.
It drives me crazy sometimes, I try to ignore it but its really hard to ignore. I notice it in the evening/bedtime usually when I'm getting changed for bed. Savlon doesn't help :(

Why does that happen though,I have an old scar and out of the blue,it starts to get itchy and has tiny little water blister things on it (technical term ;D )
-
Could it be dryness?
-
I have technical terms like that too ;D
Its not dry, just really itchy when it kicks off. I dont scratch it with my nails as I'm sure I'd take half my skin off :o will look into vitamin e.
Thanks

Mine drives me nuts sometimes and my c section baby is now 21, pleased to read it is just not me!

Penguin 99.
Yep mine too gets itchy at times, usually in the evenings.
My C section babes are 22 and 23...two c sections in 11 months.
A light cream or an oral antihistamine should help

Will definitely try the antihistamine cream, can anyone recommend one? Sometimes it gets a little sweaty, i have a belly flap ;), hate my overhanging bit! Both my children were caesareans, 24 & 22.
Mine kicks off in the evening too, fine in the day but when its near bedtime, drives me nuts ::)
